Core principle: WhatsApp chat, contact and export content is processed locally in your browser. WA Exporter does not send your exported WhatsApp conversations or contact lists to a publisher-controlled server.

1. Information WA Exporter can access

When you use WA Exporter on WhatsApp Web, the extension may read content already rendered or made available in your signed-in WhatsApp Web session, including chat messages, timestamps, sender names, chat or group names, visible contact identifiers and visible group-member information. This access is used only to perform export actions you initiate.

2. Local processing

Chat and contact extraction, formatting and export generation are performed locally in your browser. Exported files are saved through Chrome when you request an export. WA Exporter does not upload your WhatsApp messages, contact lists or generated export files to a publisher-controlled cloud service.

3. Local extension storage

The extension may use Chrome extension storage for settings and operational data such as UI preferences, export options, interrupted-export resume state, free-tier usage counters, a local installation identifier and PRO activation state. For Dodo Payments customer licensing, the license key and activation-instance information may be stored locally so the extension can validate or deactivate the subscription on that device. WhatsApp chat content is not intended to be permanently stored in extension storage.

4. Dodo Payments licensing and checkout

WA Exporter PRO uses Dodo Payments for checkout and customer license lifecycle. When you activate, validate or deactivate a customer license, the extension may communicate with Dodo Payments using license-related information such as the license key, license activation instance identifier and a non-personal device/install label. No WhatsApp messages, contacts, group content or generated export files are sent to Dodo Payments for licensing.

Payment processing is handled on Dodo Payments' hosted checkout. WA Exporter does not directly collect or store card details.

5. Developer/test licenses

Separate WAE1 developer/test licenses may be verified locally in the extension using a public cryptographic key and do not require Dodo Payments validation.

6. Website data

This static website does not intentionally use advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Your browser and hosting provider may process standard technical request information required to deliver the website.

7. Data sale and advertising

WA Exporter does not sell WhatsApp chat or contact content, does not use that content for advertising, and does not use it for creditworthiness or lending decisions.

8. Permissions

The extension may request access to web.whatsapp.com, Dodo Payments licensing endpoints, and Chrome permissions needed for user-requested downloads, local settings and interaction with the active WhatsApp Web tab. These permissions are used to provide export and licensing functionality.

9. Security

No software can guarantee absolute security. WA Exporter is designed to minimize unnecessary data transfer and keep the core export pipeline local to the browser.

10. Children

WA Exporter is not specifically directed to children. Users should comply with the terms and age requirements of WhatsApp, Chrome and any applicable services.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated as the product, licensing provider or distribution model evolves. The current version will be published at this URL.

WA Exporter is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner.
